The Vinyl Lab

is THE brand new, state-of-the-art vinyl record pressing plant nestled in the heart of downtown Nashville, TN. We’re Nashville’s ONLY boutique, locally owned vinyl pressing facility. Founded in service of the hardworking musicians and talented artists that keep Music City alive.

Right now, supporting local businesses has never been more important. Founded by musicians, we pride ourselves on our premium service, state-of-the-art technology, and personalization on every order. We strive to create equality across our customer base, no matter the order size. Our founders’ mission is to treat every client as a valued partner, because your experience with us is just as important to us as your business.

After seven years of planning and execution, The Vinyl Lab started production in April, 2021 with our first customer – the Grand Ole’ Opry. Since April, 2021, we now work with Thirty Tigers, Oh Boy Records, Dualtone Records, New West Records, Big Loud Records, Big Machine, Curb Records, Warner, ATO Records, Dolly/Butterfly Records, Diggers Factory (France) and more. As well as labels, playing our role to cultivate independent artists and labels is in our DNA. We thrive on positive word of mouth and a grass roots approach. Some of our big projects include Dolly Parton, several Lumineers records, Metric, HARDY, Sturgill Simpson, several Charley Crockett records, The Boxmasters (Billy Bob), Amanda Shires, Jason Isbell, several Oingo Boingo records and more!

We focus on three principles here at The Vinyl Lab:

·       Quick Turn Times: Simply put, our turn time is 2.5 to 5 months from the time we receive artwork and audio.

·       Personal Service: Scott Lemasters and Heather Gray personally manage our sales and operations with a small team of brilliant, experienced and service-oriented people. We make ourselves available by phone, text, and/or by our open-door policy.

·       High Quality: What we typically hear from engineers: “this is the quietest record I’ve ever heard.” Labels and artists rave about our quality.

The Vinyl Lab utilizes state-of-the-art automated Pheenix Alpha AD12 machines from Stockholm, Sweden. We have the fastest cycle times in the industry hovering around 20 seconds per record, with our record through an entire vinyl cycle of 19.8 seconds.

Our current turn times are 2.5 to 5 months. Our customer service is excellent, and our quality is tough to beat. We also have an open-door policy and encourage all of our customers to visit The Vinyl Lab, take tours, pick-up your test presses, be present when we press your record, pick-up your order, etc. We look forward to working with you, and you trusting The Vinyl Lab with your upcoming project.
